Mid Atlantic Excavation LLC · Operator Portal · Updated September 11, 2026

What this covers

This policy describes the information the Mid Atlantic operator portal collects from equipment operators and the companies that employ them, why we collect it, and who we share it with. It covers the portal only, not Mid Atlantic's other services or its public website.

What we collect

  • Your phone number, which is how you sign in. We text you a one-time code instead of using a password.
  • Your name, company, business address and equipment list, so dispatch knows who you are and what you can bring to a job.
  • Tax and insurance documentsyou upload: your W-9 and your certificates of liability, auto and workers compensation insurance. A W-9 contains a taxpayer identification number, which is sensitive personal information.
  • Banking details, if you choose to give them, so payouts can be wired to you: your bank, account holder name, routing number and account number. Only Mid Atlantic staff can open that file. Nobody else on the portal can, including the administrator of the company you work for. You are never required to upload it here.
  • Contracts you sign in the portal, together with the date, time and the IP address you signed from. That record is what makes an electronic signature enforceable.
  • Invoices and payment records: the PDFs you upload, hours, amounts, and whether an invoice has been paid.
  • Messages you exchange with Mid Atlantic dispatch inside the portal, and any files attached to them.
  • Your text-message preferenceand a log of the texts we send you, so we can tell whether a notification was delivered.

We do not track your location. The portal never asks your device for it.

Why we collect it

To run the work: to show you jobs, to let you sign a subcontract, to verify you carry insurance and can be paid, to pay your invoices, and to reach you about a project you signed up for. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Text messages

We text you a code every time you sign in. Separately, you can choose to be texted when a new project posts or when dispatch needs you. That choice is yours and you can change it on your Profile at any time. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them; you will still get sign-in codes, because that is how you get into your account.

Who we share it with

Mid Atlantic staff see your profile, documents, signed contracts, invoices and messages. If you belong to a company on the portal, that company's administrator can see its own crew's profiles, signups, invoices and insurance documents — but not their banking details, which stay between that person and Mid Atlantic.

We use a small number of service providers to operate the portal: Supabase for the database, file storage and sign-in; Vercel for hosting; Twilio to send text messages; and an email provider to notify dispatch. They process this information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Signed contracts, invoices and tax documents are business records, and we keep them for as long as we are required to. Everything else we keep while your account is active.

Your choices

You can view and update your profile, equipment, address and documents in the portal at any time. To ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to close your account, contact Mid Atlantic dispatch and we will help you. Closing your account does not remove records we are required to keep, such as signed contracts and paid invoices.
